On Wednesday, January 24th, the Seattle 2030 District, which is part of the larger 2030 Districts Network, hosted a tour of the Georgetown Wet Weather Treatment Station (WWTS). Exhibit at UW Explores the Intersection of Art, Health, and Environment in the Peruvian Amazon
“TRES COMUNIDADES” is a bilingual showcase that can be found on UW Seattle’s campus at the College of Built Environments gallery in Gould Hall until December 15th, 2023. Its time at UW marks the second stop on its international tour, with plans to open again at Pennsylvania State University in 2024.

Much more than an imitative, representational act, drawing is a versatile, organic skill which encourages creativity and exploration, and also underlies many other modes of visual expression. This pre-workshop lecture will highlight drawing’s identity as a rich, meaningful communication device which provides the foundation for a specialized artistic technique.
Lid I-5 North to Host U District Community Vision Workshop
On Thursday, November 9th, the U District Partnership, the Lid I-5 campaign, and the UW Scan Design Master Studio will be hosting a community vision workshop focused on lidding Interstate 5 between NE 45th and NE 50th Streets. People of all walks of life are encouraged to come out and share their ideas for how they would like to see the area transformed by a freeway lid.
