Founded in 1969, the Department of Landscape Architecture has prepared generations of landscape architects to learn and shape our complex environments through the acts of design, exploration and engagement.
Today, we offer undergraduate BLA and graduate MLA degrees that emphasize urban ecological design, a design practice that addresses the most critical issues of the 21st century. Through our teaching, research and community engagement, we are rooted in the landscapes of the Pacific Northwest and communities around the world.
