We are delighted to announce that Vincent Javet will join our department as an Assistant Teaching Professor beginning in summer 2023. Vincent has previous experience in both teaching and professional practice. Trained as a landscape architect and urban planner, Vincent is currently an Assistant Teaching Professor in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning at Rutgers University where he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on 2D digital design, 3D digital design, visualization, construction (materials and assemblies), material tectonics, and design studios in green infrastructure planning, design, and prototyping.
Vincent also practices with Unknown Studio Landscape Architecture and Urban Design and previously worked in Canada, Europe, and the United States with West 8 Urban Design and Landscape Architecture and North Design Office. In addition to his design experience, Vincent has held research positions with Platform for Resilient Urbanism, the Green Roof Information Testing Laboratory (GRIT Lab) at the University of Toronto, and Green Roofs for Healthy Cities.
