BE*connected: A Symposium on Integration & the Built Environment
Hosted by the UW CBE Ph.D. Program in the Built Environment
Friday 25 April 2014, 9:30–12:30 in Gould Court
Following last year’s successful ‘BE More’ symposium on interdisciplinarity, the ‘BE Connected’ symposium will engage the active synergies of collaborative research and multidisciplinary scholarship in the built environment focusing on the connections and engagements members of the CBE community have made through their studies, work and community activities.
BE Connected will bring together students and faculty from across the CBE and UW along with Seattle professionals to explore integrated works and practices, connections being made, and collaborations that are taking place, both within CBE and beyond. A series of panels will explore topics related to resilience, networks and identities, and connections in progress. Building on several years of College-wide collaborative efforts, this symposium invites participants to seriously reflect on the meaning of our connectivity and its value for the realization and the study of the built environment.
