Kristi M. Park, PLA

Lecturer

Curriculum Vitae

As a landscape architect, Kristi has become increasingly passionate regarding the role of design in relation to global social and environmental issues. Her design career reflects this passion with a practice of continually examining and questioning the small scale in reference to the bigger picture. She cross-checks every design decision with questions such as: Is this a resilient solution? Is this concept equitable and inclusive? Are we creating a distinct place reflective of the community that surrounds the site? Within the vein of challenging assumptions, Kristi is inspired by landscape architects, planners, artists and architects who push the boundaries of the design with similar processes. Within the theme of boldness and activism, she enjoys working with students to embrace the unfamiliar and tackle tough topics to explore the field of landscape architecture and design.
