Chad Wichers

Lecturer

Chad Wichers has been a part-time lecturer in the landscape architecture department since 2005. His landscape architectural background ranges in experience from designing public parks and trails projects to creating unique landscapes for residential clients. Chad is highly proficient in the technical skill sets of construction documentation, construction detailing, permit coordination, grading, and drainage. These technical skills give him a good foundation to build from when teaching classes in the landscape architecture department’s construction sequence. Following the trend toward Low Impact Development (L.I.D.) and Green design, Chad’s design portfolio includes projects that have received LEED and Built Green Certification. Along with his technical skill set, Chad also enjoys designing landscapes that take advantage of Pacific Northwest’s wonderful natural resources and abundant plant palette.

Chad graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Washington in 1999. He is a licensed landscape architect in the state of Washington and a founding principal landscape architect of Studio 342 Landscape Architecture, located in Seattle, Washington
